Earn some extra money taking paid online surveys

Have you ever considered paid online surveys as a way to earn a bit of extra money? Ways to earn some extra money was a regular topic of conversation with my girlfriends, particularly those of us with small children as we discussed how we could earn a bit of money that fit around the school runs. Then I read an article in a newspaper which talked about a market research company that actually pays people from all walks of life to conduct online surveys on brand awareness and current affairs. I thought this was a great idea so I took their advice and signed up. I must say, I have really enjoyed being asked my thoughts on whatever the latest crisis is to hit the government! In case you have ever wondered, I am one of those people that are questioned for opinion polls you hear quoted in the media all the time - we really do exist!

I was however only being paid a dollar a survey, and although there are regular monthly prize draws, it got me to wonder if there were any more similar surveys I could do online to actually make some extra cash, so I started to research paid online surveys and found that there are sites that you can sign up to that alert you to the latest paid online surveys when they come up. You can, of course, research each market research company yourself but there a lot, and I mean a lot, of market research companies out there and I found that the amount of time it took to trawl the internet to find them was not really the best use of my time. And with so many companies and big corporations willing to pay consumers like you or me for our opinions on products and services that either we use everyday (or what I really like, products we may use in the near future), I have found paid online survey sites really useful to tell me immediately when an opportunity comes up. I can just log on when the kids have gone to bed, and do a survey then and there.

Taking paid online surveys, I have learned just how important it is for companies to conduct accurate market research as they invest serious amounts of money into the research and production of a new product or service so they must be sure that it will sell. There are also opportunities to take part in focus groups, or even test new products. As brands become truly global, companies really value consumer opinions from people across the globe and they tell you if a survey is restricted to its country of residence. Some pay up to US$75 or even more although usually you are looking at about $2-$25. The surveys always tell you front how long it will take right at the beginning so you can work out which ones you want to spend the time doing.

I have to say that paid online surveys are more suited to those who just want a bit of extra money like me, a stay-at-home mother. I imagine it could also be ideal part time work for a student looking for a bit of extra income, or even the retired. While I don't expect to get wildly rich, what I love about the internet is it really broadens the opportunities available to earn money from paid online surveys all over the world.
